Yaesu FT-857D HF/UHF/VHF 100w Mobile Transceiver We bought this radio to back up the two 857Ds we used to run a digital training net. We swapped it for a few weeks with a desk radio to be sure it was working in all modes and the display was good. 857s with flawed displays are usually mobile units. Heat & direct sunlight degrades their dispalys. NonSmoking NoPet home. The Manual cover is missing, but the pages are in good condition. Manual in .PDF form is available for download @ Yaesu webiste. Display in good condition, no flaws. VHF/UHF connector is N-Type (see image). We used a PL239 <> N-Type adapter to connect our PL259 coax for 2m/440mhz. The FT857D is known for durability. We have one at each station. We used FT857Ds for 11yrs averaging 2hr/wk @ 35w digital. We were both on the same frequency simultaneously, usually a no-no. Yaesu said 40w at same station at once wouldn't hurt the 857. I was skeptical, but it proved to be true. We had 5 of them; we'll keep the two we bought new years ago. What you see in the images will be in the box.
